There are three levels of NTSE.The first level is the State Level exam which is conducted by the state authority of the the state in which the student lives. If the student qualifies the first level ,he/she is selected for the second level that is the national level which is conducted by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) .If the student qualifies the second level also then he/she is selected for the final level that is the NTSE Interview which is also the most difficult and most important level of the whole exam.If the student is selected in the Interview then he gets a scholarship of Rs. 500 up to his PhD. /any other degree.
The third level is like an ordinary interview in which they are asked some questions and if the candidate satisfies the interviewer with his answers, the examiner selects him.
In the interview, some questions asked are general and other questions asked are from the course which the student has studied in his class in his school.
If you have read any other article also about the interview, then you must have read that the questions asked are general but if you have read many articles about it then you must have found that in some articles it is written and in others it is written that the questions asked are mostly from the course. But this is not true because the authors of the other articles consult only one or two students who have given the exam but if you also prepare for only one type of questions then you can be in trouble because the examiners ask mostly general questions and less course questions to half of the students and to the other half of the students, they ask mostly questions from their course. So you should be prepared for both the type of questions.
Given here are the experiences of other students in the NTSE interview-
